| Examination Text | Mary Wright aged 25 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married bound apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes, but that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Robinson in Bedfordbury for the space of 15 months at the yearly wages of 10 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about 12 months ago and never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Taken at the workhouse the day and year abovesaid [24th of August 1748]. |
