Examination Text | Thomas Hadwen aged 49 years passed from the Parish of St. George near Shadwell in the County of Middlesex upon his oath saith that is a Sadler by trade and was bound apprentice by indenture to Mr Bradford a Sadler at Charing Cross facing the Mews Gate in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for seven years and there served his time which expired about 22 years ago, since which time he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that he was married to his late wife Sarah deceased at the Fleet four years ago by whom he hath one child living to wit Elizabeth aged nine weeks now with this Examinant.
