Examination TextWimms Clark aged 19 years destitute of lodging upon his oath saith that his father Jno. Clark was a Butcher and lived in and rented an house in Chandos Street against Bedfordbury in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of 14 years at the yearly rent of about 30 pounds and there died which is about 10 years ago, and that he this Examinant hath never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, and that he never gained any other settlement than by birth, that he never was married. Sworn the 21st Day of September 1749 before Daniel Gach.
