Examination TextMargery Gladstone aged 50 years and upwards lodging at Mr Robson's at the corner of Hunts Court in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes, but that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr John Shipton, a Lace Maker the corner of Old Round Court in the Strand in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of 17 years at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about 18 months ago, that she hath not been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 20th Day of November 1750 before James Fraser.
