Examination TextWilliam Williams aged 60 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. Mary White Chapel upon his oath saith that is a Leather Dresser by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Morgan Baker, a Leather Dresser in Olivers Alley in the Strand in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all the said term which expired about 40 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that he was married to his wife Elizabeth at the ffleet about nine years ago by whom he has no children living. Taken in the workhouse the 23rd Day of October 1750.
