Examination Text | Jane Dalziel aged 32 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed as a vagrant from the Parish of South Brem in the County of Devon upon her oath saith that she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that she was born in that part of the Haymarket which is in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields, and that her Father William Dalziel (who now works at Mr Fraser's a Snuff Shop near Cecil Street in the Strand) lived in and rented an house in Hungerford Market in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of two years at the yearly rent of 10 pounds besides taxes, but when quitted the same she cannot tell, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since.
