Examination TextJane Taylor aged about 40 years lodging at a Snuff Shop against Mr Thompson's in Bedfordbury in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Archibald Taylor (now sick at St Thomas's Hospital) to whom she was married at the town of Berwick upon Tweed about 17 years ago, that he is a Soldier and that he lived in and rented an house in Bennets Court in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of three months at the yearly rent of 10 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about eight years ago, that he never kept house rented tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since, that she has three children living by her said husband to wit John aged nine years and upwards, Margaret aged seven years and upwards and Jane aged five years and upwards now with this Examinant aforesaid. Sworn the 22nd Day of October 1750 before James Fraser.
