Examination Text | John Hall aged about 60 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he is a Tallow Chandler by trade and lived in and rented an house in Charles Court in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of 20 years at the yearly rent of 12 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about 11 years ago and hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since, that he was married to his present wife Amey at the ffeet about nine years ago by whom he hath one child to wit John aged about 10 weeks now with this Examinant as aforesaid. Taken in the workhouse of 26th Day of November 1750. |
