Examination TextWilliam Powell aged 44 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that by a Register of the Parish aforesaid he was born in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields, that he never was bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that his father was a Sawyer by trade and was a soldier, that he don't know where he learnt his trade or that he ever kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together. Taken in the workhouse the 8th October 1750.
