Examination TextSimon Williams aged 47 years destitute of lodging upon his oath saith that he is a Taylor by trade, but that he never was bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes, that he was a Covenant Servant for the space of one whole year to Mr Benjamin Austin a Taylor below the Church in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields at the yearly wages of 3 pounds 10 shillings diet and lodging, quitted the same about 30 years ago and hath not been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that he never was married. Sworn the 10th day of January 175[1] before James Fraser.
