Examination Text | Mary Tench aged 66 years and upwards lodging at a Smith's in Dirty Lane in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Luke Tench (who has been dead about 16 years), that since his death she lived in and rented an house in Dirty Lane aforesaid for the space of one year and upwards at the yearly rent of 14 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about three years ago and hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant since. Sworn the 27th Day of November 1751 before James Fraser. |
