Examination TextMary Cook aged 32 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed as a vagrant from the Parish of St. Mary at Lambeth in the County of Surry upon her oath saith that she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that she was born in that part of Coventry Street (where the Hoop Tavern now is) which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid where her Father William Cook a Carpenter lived in and rented an house for several years at the yearly rent of 20 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about 25 years ago and hath not kept house rented 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since. Sworn the 27th Day of November 1751 before James Fraser.
