Examination TextGeorge Maine aged 68 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Bridget (vulgarly St Brides) London upon his oath saith that he is a Chair Maker by trade and lived in and rented 4 houses on lease in Harts Horne Lane in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of five years at the yearly rent of 16 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about 14 years ago, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant since, that he hath no wife living. Sworn the sixth Day of December 1753 before Benjamin Cox.
