Examination TextMargaret Roberts aged 33 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. James within the liberty of Westminster upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Samuel Roberts (now lying sick at his lodging the corner of Shannald Street in the said Parish of St. James) to whom she was married at the ffleet the 12th Day of January in the year 1738, that he is a Glasier by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to John Burnell a Glasier in Bull Inn Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served all his time out which expired in the year 1739, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that she hath one child living by her said husband to wit Jane aged three years. Sworn the first Day of December 1753 before Benjamin Cox.
