Examination TextMary Prittyman aged 61 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. Mary Newington in the County of Surry upon her oath saith that she is the widow of John Prittyman (who died five years ago) to whom she was married at the Fleet 26 years ago last May, that he was born in the County of York but the particular part she this Examinant cannot tell, that he never was bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together to this Examinant's knowledge, that she this Examinant was before her intermarriage with her said husband while single and unmarried a yearly hired servant to Col. Buncomb on the West side of Cecil Street in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of 13 months at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about 46 years ago, that from the time of her quitting her aforesaid service to the time of her intermarriage she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, neither has she since the death of her said husband.
