Examination TextAnn Tripplehill aged 40 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of [blank] in Birmingham upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Gravely Tripplehill (now on the road from Birmingham to London) to whom she was married at St Peter's in the city of Oxford about 24 years ago, that he is a Brasier by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to William Allen a Brazier in Hemmings Row in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served five years, and then his friends gave 30 guineas for the remainder of his time which is about 26 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that she hath three children living by her said husband to wit Thomas aged 23 years, Gravely aged 10 years, and Ann aged about seven years. Taken in the workhouse of 25th day of June 1755.
