| Examination Text | Sarah North aged 24 years upon Oath saith that she was never Married that she served Twenty three Months all under a Yearly hiring with Mr Robert Simpson , No 19 Great Suffolk Street in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields at Six Guineas bided Year Wages diet and lodging quitted the same November 16th 1793 since which she has done act to gain a subsequent Settlement. And this Examinant upon her voluntary Oath saith that she is no great with Child or Children , which is or are likely to be Born a Bastard or Bastards and to become chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields and that John Newberry who is a Private in the 2d Regt of LifeGuards had several Times carnal Knowledge of or are Body and that one of which Times did beget her with the Child or Children she now go with with and is pregnant of and that he the said John Newberry is the true and only ffather thereof and Man else. Sworn this 29th Day of April 1794 before me John Collick Sarah North her Mark. |
