Examination TextCharles Saunders aged about 60 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he never was bound an apprentice, that while single and unmarried he was a yearly hired servant in the capacity of a Footman for the space of two years (and then intermarried) at the yearly wages of 8 pounds diet and lodging to Her Grace Sarah Duchess of Marlborough at Marlborough House in St. James's in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since he left Her Grace's service. Taken in the workhouse the 21st Day of May 1759.
