Examination TextBridget Dwyer aged 30 years now servant at the Lying-in Hospital in Dukes Street by Grosvenor Square upon her oath saith she is the widow Daniel Dwyer (who died in March 1754) to whom she was married at Kitheny [sic] in the County of Limerick in the Kingdom of Ireland after the manner of the Church of Rome about 13 years ago, that she this Examinant since the death of her said husband lived in and rented an house in Little Suffolk Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of one year and upwards at the yearly rent of 16 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same Michaelmas 1755, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that she hath two children living by her said husband to wit William aged 11 years and upwards (gone to Sea) and Cornelius aged eight years and upwards now with Mrs Maynard in Great Suffolk Street. Sworn the seventh Day of September 1759 before Benjamin Cox.
