Examination TextMary Condon aged 28 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Thomas Condon (who died last November) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St. James within the liberty between three and four years ago [sic], that her said husband was bred to the Sea, that she hath heard her said husband say that he was born in Staffordshire (but the particular part she this Examinant cannot tell), that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together to this Examinant's knowledge, that she this Examinant before her intermarriage to her said husband and while single was a yearly hired servant to Edward Ashe Esq. in Suffolk Street in the Parish aforesaid for the space of one year and 10 months at the yearly wages of 10 pounds diet and lodging, and then intermarried, that she hath one child living by her said husband to wit William aged about 11 months now with this Examinant.
