Examination Text | John Rowland aged [blank] years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that before his intermarriage and while single he was a yearly hired servant to Mr Burnet a Victualler at the Black Boy and Appletree in St Martin's Lane in the said Parish for the space of two years and an half at the yearly wages of [blank] diet and lodging, and there intermarried with his present wife Thomasin at the Fleet which is about 11 years ago, that he hath not done any act to gain a subsequent settlement. Taken in the workhouse the 19th Day of December 1763. |
