Examination Text | Ann Robertson aged 22 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Margaret within the liberty of Westminster upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Patrick Robertson (gone from her) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of Coggeshall in the County of Essex the third Day of October 1756, that her said husband was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Mr Dryden a Staymaker near Durham Yard in the Strand in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all his said time out, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant since the expiration of his said apprenticeship, that she hath two children living by her said husband to wit Patrick aged four years and John aged one year and an half both now with this Examinant. Sworn the 29th day of October 1763 before Benjamin Cox. |
