Examination TextAnn Bradshaw aged 32 years and upwards passed from the Parish of St Margaret Westminster to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Henry Bradshaw (who died about six months ago) to whom she was married after the manner of the Church of Rome in Townley [Caypall] near Burnley in the County of Lancaster in September 1751, that her said husband was a Staymaker by trade and lived in and rented an house known by the sign of the Edinburgh Castle in Bedfordbury in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year at the yearly rent of 26 pounds besides taxes and there died, that she this Examinant continued in the said house for the space of two months after the death of her said husband, that she this Examinant hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since she quitted the said house in Bedfordbury, that she hath four children living by her said husband to wit Richard aged 11 years and upwards, William aged nine years and upwards, Mary aged six years and Ann aged nine months all now with this Examinant. Sworn the 30th Day of July 1763 before Benjamin Cox.
