Examination TextMary Brown aged 22 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed as a vagrant from the Parish of Kensington in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was bound an apprentice by the officers of the Parish of Kensington aforesaid by an indenture for five years to Philip Kendall a Tallow Chandler in Green Street in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served about six months, and then her master failed, that she this Examinant never kept house rented tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since she quitted her said Master's service in Green Street. Taken in the workhouse the first Day of July 1763.
