Examination Text | Peter Smith aged 22 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Martin Vintry London upon his oath saith that he never was bound an apprentice, that he was a yearly hired servant to Mr Dawson at the Cock and Bottle [sic] the West corner of Cecil Street in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and an half at the yearly wages of [5] pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about six months ago, that he this Examinant hath never done any act to gain a subsequent settlement. Sworn the 14th Day of June 1763 before Jonathan Wright. |
