Examination Text | The Examination of Sarah Marriner in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields taken upon oath this 22nd Day of April 1763. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is 27 years of age, that she never was married, that she was on the 28th day of November which was in the year 1761 delivered of female bastard child at the house of Mr Hollet's a Waterman in Horseshoe Alley in the Parish of St Saviour Southwark in the County of Surry (since christened Sarah) yet living and is become chargeable to the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields. Sworn the day and year abovesaid before Benjamin Cox, Thomas Kynaston. |
