Examination Text | Sarah Westbrook aged 55 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Sepulchres London upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Richard Westbrook to whom she was married at St Bridget (vulgarly St Brides) Church London 33 years ago, that he was bound an apprentice for seven years to Richard Greenwood a Currier in that part of Bear Street (near Leicester Fields) which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served all his said time out, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the expiration of his said apprenticeship. Taken in the workhouse the 17th Day of July 1760. |
