Examination TextThe Examination of Mary Follon singlewoman lodging at Mr Prior's at the Bulls Head in Newtonhouse Lane taken upon oath this second Day of May 1760. This Examinant on her oath saith that Ann Follon (her sister) aged 12 years is destitute of lodging, that she her said that sister never was married bound an apprentice nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that her father John Follon who died about 10 years ago was a Victualler and lived in and rented an house near Southampton Street in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year at the yearly rent of 10 pounds and upwards besides taxes and there died. Sworn the Day and year abovesaid before Benjamin Cox.
