Examination Text | Richard Slade aged about 41 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Pancras in the County of Middlesex upon his oath saith that he served the last five years and a quarter of a year of his apprenticeship to Mr Sells a Coachmaker in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, which expired between 16 and 17 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Taken in the workhouse the 29th day of September 1766. |
