Examination Text | Sarah Davis aged 17 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was bound an apprentice (by the Trustees of Hungerford School) by an indenture for [blank] years to Mr Jaffrey, Glover in the Strand in the Parish aforesaid, and there served her said Master about 11 months, and then was discharged her said Master's service by order of two Justices of the Peace, since which she this Examinant hath not been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together. Taken in the workhouse the 24th Day of August 1767. |
