Examination Text | Mary Kildare aged about 18 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed as a vagrant from the Parish of St. James within the liberty of Westminster upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years (by the officers of the Parish of St. Paul Covent Garden) to Mr Whitehead a Shoemaker in that part of Exeter Street which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, and there served her said Master about two years and then parted by consent, since which time she this Examinant hath not been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together. Taken in the workhouse the 11th Day of September 1767. |
