Examination TextThe Examination of Ann Atkinson lodging in a cellar under Mr Webb's [?] Maker in Church Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields within the liberty of Westminster taken the 30th Day of March in the of our Lord 1773. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is 33 years of age and upwards, that she is the widow of William Atkinson who died three years ago to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St John in the city of Westminster the first Day of August in the year 1758, that her said husband lived in and rented an house in Moors Yard in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of two years at the yearly rent of 10 pounds besides taxes as her said husband hath informed this Examinant, that her said husband never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes after he quitted the aforesaid house, that she this Examinant hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since the death of her said husband, that she hath one child by her said husband to wit Elizabeth aged six years and upwards now with this Examinant's brother Robert Williams a Lighterman in White Lyon Court Back Side Surry.
