Examination TextThe Examination of Frances Emeley lodging at the house of Mr Maguire a Peruke Maker the corner of James Street in Hedge Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields within the liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex taken on oath this 28th day of March 1773. This Examinant saith that she is 28 years of age and upwards, that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mrs Lloyd in Great Marlborough Street in the Parish of St. James within the liberty and County aforesaid for the space of three years and one hiring at the yearly wages of 7 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about two years ago, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the day and year above written before Thomas Kynaston, John Goodchild.
