Examination TextElizabeth Everett aged 30 years and upwards lodging at Mr Fowler a Staymaker in that part of Burleigh Street which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Robert Everett (who died about eight months ago) to whom she was married at this Parish Church about 14 years ago, that her said husband was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Mr Wilson a Wine Cooper (now Mr Jeeves's) near Buckingham St in the Strand in the Parish aforesaid and there served all the aforesaid term as she this Examinant hath been informed and verily believes, which expired about 16 years ago, that her said husband never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since to this Examinant's knowledge, that she this Examinant hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since the death of her said husband, that she hath one child by her said husband to wit Thomas aged two months now with this Examinant. Sworn the fifth day of March 1773 before Thomas Kynaston.
