Examination TextJob Adams aged 65 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Giles without Cripplegate London upon his oath saith that he never was bound an apprentice, that while single and unmarried he this Examinant was a yearly hired servant in the capacity of a Footman to Mr Arnodan [sic] a Surgeon in New Street in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of four years and an half all under one hiring at the yearly wages of 3 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about 50 years ago, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that he was married to his present wife Margaret at the Parish Church of Greenwich in the County of Kent about 44 years ago.
