| Examination Text | John Raper aged 48 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Botolph Bishopsgate London upon his oath saith that he was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Mr Evans, and was assigned over to Mr John Lee a Bricklayer in Hounsditch and then his said Master removed into Bedfordbury in the said Parish of St Martin the Fields and he this Examinant along with him, and there served his said Master Lee for the space of six years the remainder of his said time which expired in the year 1749, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 27th Day of March 1773 before Thomas Kynaston. |
