Examination TextThe Examination of Mary Isaack passed from the Parish of St. Paul Covent Garden within the liberty of Westminster to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields in the same liberty taken this eighth day of April 1774. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is about 67 years of age, that she is the widow of Francis Isaack (who died about five years ago) to whom she was married the Parish Church of St Bridget London the first Day of January about 33 years ago, that her said husband was a Lawyer, that he was born in the Kingdom of Ireland as she hath heard her said husband say, that her said husband never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place in England to this Examinant's knowledge, that she this Examinant was born in Dukes Court in St Martin's Lane in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields as she this Examinant hath been informed and verily believes, that she never was bound an apprentice kept house rented tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that her father Stephen Sauze a was born in the Kingdom of France as she this Examinant hath been informed and verily believes, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes in England to this Examinant's knowledge. Sworn the day and year abovesaid before Thomas Kynaston.
