Examination TextMary Price aged 42 years and upwards destitute of lodging upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr John Paul a Victualler who kept the Tap in the Golden Cross Inn Yard near St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of three years at the yearly wages of 6 pounds diet and lodging, that she quitted the said service about three years ago, that she then was a yearly hired servant to Mrs Paul (wife of the said Mr Paul) in Hemmings Row for the space of one whole year all under one hiring at the yearly wages of 3 pounds diet and lodging, that she quitted the said service at Christmas last, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since. Sworn the 18th Day of February 1774 before Thomas Kynaston.
