Examination Text | Ann Pettinger aged about 26 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr James Wilson a Victualler at the sign of the Scotch Arms in Bedfordbury in the Parish aforesaid for the space of one whole year and upwards all under one hiring at the yearly wages of 6 pounds diet and lodging, that she quitted the said service about four years ago, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the first Day of March 1774 before Thomas Kynaston. |
