Examination Text | Ann Brisbayne aged 63 years lodging at Mr Evans's a Victualler at the sign of the Coach and Horses near St. Martin's Court in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of James Brisbayne (now Lame at his lodgings) aforesaid to whom she was married at the Fleet 33 years ago, that her said husband is a Cabinet Maker by trade and lived in and rented an house in St Martin's Court aforesaid for the space of three years at the yearly rent of 16 pounds besides taxes, quitted the said house about five years ago, that her said husband hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since. Sworn the 14th Day of September 1773 before Thomas Kynaston. |
