Examination TextJames Hartley aged about 48 years lodging in Little St Martin Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he is a Peruke maker by trade, that he lived in and rented an house in Hedge Lane in the Parish aforesaid for the space of 17 years at the yearly rent of 20 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about a year ago, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that he was married to his present wife Catherine in the Parish Church of St Martin in the Fields about 14 years ago. Sworn the second Day of October 1778 before John Goodchild.
