Examination Text | Richard Vernon aged 44 Years upon his Oath saith that he is by Trade a Cordwainer that he lived in & rented a House in Conduit Court Long Acre in the Parish of St. Martin in the ffields within the liberty of Westminster for the space of Eleven Years at the Yearly Rent of Sixteen Pounds beside Taxes quitted the same about ffour Months ago & hath done no Act whereby to gain any subsequent Settlement that he was Married to his late Wife Ann at the Parish Church of St. Martin in the ffields Oct 20th 1769 by whom he hath issue Four Children to wit James born March 3d 1773 Frances born Sepr 4th 1776 Mary born Feby 11th/80 & Elizabeth born Augt. 7 1783 all of whom are now with this Examinant. // Sworn this 14th day of ffebruary 1788 before Wm Hyde // [signed Richd Vernon] // N.S.W. // P |
