Examination Text | The Examination of Margaret Pimple passed as a Vagrant from the Parish of Whitechurch in the County of Salop, To the Parish of St Martin in the Fields in the County of Middlesex taken this 24th Day of Novr. 1783. This Examinant on her Oath saith That she is about 2[?] years of age, That she is the Wife of John Pimple a Soldier in the 26th Regiment of Foot (and gone to the Indies) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St John in the City of Limerick in the Kingdom of Ireland seven years ago last Whitsuntide, That her said husband hath often told this Examinant that he was Born in and served seven years an apprenticeship to a Taylor in the said parish of St Martin in the Fields but to whom or the particular part of the said parish she this Examinant cannot tell, And further this Examinant knoweth not, That she hath two Children by her said husband to wit Thomas aged six years and upwards and Mary aged two years last Christmas both now with this Examinant.
