| Examination Text | Maria Susannah Stevens aged 36 years and upwards removed by Order of Removal from the parish of St Giles at Cripplegate London to the parish of St Martin in the Fields, Upon her Oath saith That she never was Married, That she was a yearly hired servant to Mr. Wilson a Scowerer and Hot Presser near the Sign of the Golden Cross by Charing Cross in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of One yar and three months at the Yearly Wages of five pounds diet and Lodging quitted the same about seventeen years ago, That she hath not kept house rented a tenement of ten pounds by the year paid any Parish taxes nor been a yearly hired Servant in any one place for twelve months together since. Sworn the 13th Day of May 1782 Before William Hyde. |
