Examination TextThomas Cooley aged about twenty three years Removed by an Order of Two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace from the Parish of St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields in the same county upon his Oath saith That he was bound an Apprentice by an Indenture for seven years to Mr. Hussey a Chimney Sweep in Broad Street in the said Parish of St Giles in the Fields and there served his said Master for the space of Three years and then he this Deponent with his said Masters Consent was assigned and turned over to Mr. Tatnam a Chimney Sweeper in [Bow] Tun Alley (Hungerford Market) in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields, and there served the said Mr. Tatnum all the remainder of the said Term of Seven years which Expired [blank] years ago, That he hath never kept house rented a tenement of ten pounds by the year paid any Parish taxes nor been a yearly hired Servant in any one place for twelve months together since the Expiration of his said apprenticeship.
