Examination TextRosamond Spalthorpe aged thirty eight years lodging in Queen Street by Lincoln's Inn ffields Saith she is the widow of John Philip Joseph Spalthorpe who dyed nine years ago to whom she was marryed at Mr Hoffman's the Emperor's Resident in Park Place sixteen years ago that her said husband was a Painter and born at Antwerp in fflanders where he served his Time and that he never kept my house rented ten pounds by the year paid any parish Taxes or was a yearly hired Servant in England that she was bound by Indenture an Apprentice for seven years to one Catherine ffoley a Lace Joiner in Pheonix Alley in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the ffields whom she there served all her Time and boarded and lodged with her said Mistress in Pheonix Alley untill her Apprenticeship expired after which she never took House rented ten pounds by the year paid any parish Taxes or was a yearly hired Servant nor since her said Husbands Death having no Child living Sworn
