Examination TextElizabeth Goodenough aged thirty four years lodging in Hedge Lane where she hath lodged a fortnight Saith she is the wife of Daniel Goodenough now a Soldier in the first Battalion of the third Regiment of ffoot Guards Saith he is by trade a Farryer and that he served five years of his time to one at Farringdon in the County of Berks and listed himself there about seven years ago Saith she was marryed to him at the Fleet about four years since That about five months ago they took part of a house in Heming's Row in this parish (to wit) A shop a room behind the same a cellar or kitchen underneath the Shop and a room one pair of Stairs over the Shop for which they agreed to pay twelve pounds by the year rent that they kept the same four months but paid no taxes nor Rent more than what their Landlady leased by Distress that there was an Entry seperate from their Shop and that no persons ever came into their apartment below Stairs but on business with them that they had two Doors into the passage (through which the other Inmates of the said House pass'd and repass'd ) to go to their said room up one pair of Stairs that they left the said apartment one month since and have not taken any other house or Apartment tothe value of ten pounds by the year
