Examination TextJane Day aged thirty four years (Now in the workhouse) Saith she is the wife of Stephen Day gone from her about two years to whom she was marryed at the Bull and Garter at the ffleet by one Mr Ralph Shadwell Minister on the thirteenth day of December in the year 1734 that he is by trade a Calendar and served his time to Mr Philip Griffin in Vinegar Yard in this parish and that she knows not how long he hath been out of his time but Saith that since the Examination thereof he hath never been a yearly hired servant hath never kept house rented ten pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes that she hath had no Child by him And also that since he hath left her he hath marryed another woman with whom he now lives at one Mrs Crawford's a Chandler Shop next Door to the two Brewers near Middle Row in Holborn
