Examination TextJohn Davis Welch aged ffifty years lodging in White ffryar's Saith he is by Trade a Vintner and served his Time of Seven years to one Thomas Wells to whom he was bound by Indenture for that Term at the Cross Keys at the Corner of Saint Martin's Lane in the Strand in the Parish of Saint Martins in the ffields and that since the Expiration thereof which is about Twenty ffour years ago he never was a yearly hired Servant or rented the Value of Ten Pounds by the Year Saith that he had by Rose his Wife (to whom he was marryed at St Martins Church in the year 1707 as by Certificate of the same one Son (namely) Joseph Welch aged nine Years born in Bakers Alley in the Strand aforesaid in the Parish aforesaid
