Examination TextJohn Milkins aged about 39 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of Christ Church in the County of Middlesex upon his oath saith that he was born in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields, and also that he was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to his father, a Shoemaker next the sign of the Angel near New Street in St Martin's Lane, and there and in St Martin's Court served all the said term out which expired about [blank] years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Taken in the workhouse of 13th Day of February 1766.
